Last night, my husband and I offered a free ebay seminar at the Family Vision Library in St. Charles, MO. You may be wondering, "What does THAT have to do with Charlotte Mason homeschooling?!!" Well, I would have to answer, Nothing directly, but this has been something that has affected our homeschooling immensely! See, we own Ancient Paths Christian Bookstore, and we got started on ebay. Through this bookstore, we have been able to acquire many of our homeschooling materials, as well as work toward a day when my husband can work from home full time. The children and I have been supporting the bookstore in time and efforts, as well as benefitting from all the perks that come from owning a business. One of the benefits is that our children are learning what it is to own a business and all that comes with that.
Another thing that we have realized is that our experiences on ebay have given us some knowledge that others are interested in obtaining. We are going to offer more seminars on selling on ebay, and we may develop a whole class to help others learn how to maximize their earning potential with ebay. This may be another family project that also helps toward that goal of bringing hubby home. It is also another learning experience for all of us. The children are gaining a great education just by living life in our family.
I also have to put a plug in for Family Vision Library. They are the only privately owned, Christian, public lending library in the nation. There is no charge to get a library card, and you can check out items with no fees (unless you are late returning them!). We travel the 40 miles to get there about every other week because we like the library so much. They have many items that you would never find at a public library, and they have a TON of items that are useful to a Charlotte Mason home education. They also have an online subscription service open to anyone in the country. You can get all the details about it by visiting their website at http://www.thefamilyvision.org/ Back to the details of our CM education next time!
I really appreciate the fact that you are willing to drive 40 miles to visit this library! We are in South County and will now make the effort to check it out!
I will pray for your family. My husband runs our photography business from home. The blessings are abundant! During our busiest season when he is working many hours, we are still able to spend time together...even if it is in small increments!

Dina, I am so encouraged to hear from others who have hubby home full time - it gives me hope!
I can't say enough about the Family Vision library! They are great - and I love all they do!
